At Get Joy, we know how important your dog is in your life, we never stop obsessing about this. It's why Get Joy is your partner in the relentless pursuit of more joyful moments with your dog. It's also why our founder started the company - to impact the lives of dogs and families through functional nutrition.
In late 2018, our founder Tom’s Golden Retriever Cooper was diagnosed with Lymphoma. Faced with that heartbreak, Tom did what any devoted dog parent would do — he took matters into his own hands. Guided by industry leading veterinarians, Dr Lindsay Thalhiem of Cornell and Dr Kendra Pope, he discovered the three pillars of dog wellness: Nutrition, Genetics, and Environment. Nutrition was the pillar he could control. So he did. Food is medicine, a fresh, whole foods routine was what helped Cooper thrived for 18 more months with his family, and Get Joy was born.
