No fillers. Ever.

The Difference

Functional nutrition, gently cooked in

Fresh Meals are kettle-cooked, not sous-vide — each ingredient cooked separately to its ideal temperature, then combined. That protects texture and nutrients and reaches ~95% gelatinization for easy digestion. Then we build in real functional ingredients: a prebiotic fiber, a postbiotic, and salmon-oil omega-3.

Built into every recipe: inulin (prebiotic), yeast-culture postbiotic, salmon-oil omega-3 (DHA & EPA), and turmeric. Looking for live probiotics? Belly Biotics™ is built into our Freeze-Dried Raw Meals.

One bowl, built to support it all. Joy starts from within.

Get Joy is a complete food designed to support everyday wellness through gut health. It is not a medicine and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease; it is not a substitute for veterinary care or prescribed supplements. Talk to your vet about your dog's specific needs.

The real cost of your dog's health

Your dog needs a lot. One bowl can support it all.

Many dog parents end up buying probiotics, oils, and supplements separately. Because gut health is the foundation of whole-body health, Get Joy is built to support those needs from one daily bowl.

Our Method — Get Joy vs. Typical Fresh

Real food, cooked the way it should be

We kettle-cook whole-food ingredients separately, low-and-slow at safe temperatures — enough to make nutrients highly digestible and kill pathogens, without the high-heat extrusion of kibble or the sealed-bag sous-vide method that turns food into a paste.

Kibble

Extruded at high heat

Cooked at 200°F+ under pressure. High heat strips natural nutrients, so synthetic vitamins are sprayed back on afterward.

Other Fresh (Sous-Vide)

Cooked in a sealed bag

Many fresh brands cook everything together in a sealed plastic bag, which can turn food mushy or paste-like.

Get Joy Fresh

Kettle-cooked, low-and-slow

Each ingredient is kettle-cooked separately to its ideal temperature — and we skim the fat — then combined. 100% USDA-sourced proteins, ~95% gelatinization: highly digestible, lean, and seriously tasty.

The Poopening

As the gut adjusts, some dogs have looser stool at first — that's normal.

Then better, firmer poops — the kind you'd brag about at the park.

The Glow Up

Calmer, less-itchy skin and softer fur.

Boosted immunity and steadier energy.

The Transformation

Gut fully repaired; a healthy weight settling in.

Less inflammation, easier mobility.

The Full Send

An optimized microbiome, head to tail.

Better metabolism and nutrient absorption.

*Some loose stool in the first week or two is normal as the body adjusts — if it's more prevalent early, don't fret; some dogs simply need to transition more slowly. Individual results vary.

His dogs have devoured Get Joy for 3 years.
Then he invested in the mission.

“Our dogs have been devouring Get Joy for the past three years. So, rather than just continuing to order the food, I decided to invest and become an owner. I’m putting my money where their paws are.”

Customers praised this fresh meal subscription, saying dogs "absolutely love" it and "lick their bowls clean." Many noted improved coat shine, energy, and digestive health. However, some concerns arose about recent packaging changes requiring measuring, increased prices, larger bulk shipments straining freezer space, and customer service accessibility issues.

My picky eater is very happy with this food.

They send you what they want and charge you what they want. I’ve never received the same package sizes. I ordered 42 individual 110 oz packs and they sent me 16 300oz packs. Then you can’t reach anyone to ask how to ensure getting what I ordered. Dog loves the food but I’m switching to FARMERS DOG. At least I get the same size bag ever time.

Not happy with the new limited sizes of bags which means I have to feed 1.20 bags per day- what a mess. Means setting up 5 days worth of food into Tupperware to make it make more sense and preplanned. Ugh. Also who has freezer space for 4 weeks worth of food at a time. I can fit very little less in my freezer. Not happy with the new plan. Food remains fine.

Get Joy has changed our dog's life! We started him on the diet at around 9 years old when he was starting to age. He wasn't loving his food. When we began, he just ate it immediately, and now he is 15 years old and going strong!! Cannot praise this company enough!!

My dog loves and thrives on the food. I just wish you hadn’t changed the package sizes. We used to get the smallest size and now it’s just messier and more measuring since that size has been eliminated. It’s probably saving some plastic, which is a good thing since my other issue is, I wish things were not packaged in plastic. Would love to see more eco-friendly packaging!

Bailey is really picky. I’ve tried a lot of other brands. He only likes Get Joy. Thank you.

My dog, Chloe, loves...

My dog, Chloe, loves Get Joy! She’s super picky and I was having a hard time finding food that she liked. From her very first meal of Get Joy, she finished every bite and licked her bowl clean. I’ll never go back to feeding her anything else!

Highly recommend. The best in fresh meals out there and I’ve tried them all! No mess. No measuring. Single serve packets. Just open, serve and throw away package. My dogs never give me a difficult time eating. Been on it for years and will stay on it. Customer service is the BEST!!! Delivery is always spot on!

New member of the clean plate club!

My very picky dog loves Get Joy! It used to be more difficult to get her to eat her food, she would just have a bite or two even after trying all sorts of toppers. Now, she will eat everything without needing us to beg!

One healthy Nucky

Our little Nucky loves the lamb. As soon as its place in his bowl he starts chowing down. His poops are always firm and never mushy. He appears healthy and contented. You guys have helped our little guys maintain sustainable health throughout his life. Thank you.

Been over a year

We had been getting Get Joy for over a year now. Customer service is always amazing! 2 out of my 3 dogs love every recipe. My youngest mini schnauzer has a problem with the carrot chunks so I pick them all out for her. I recommend this food to everyone!

My dog can be...

My dog can be picky about her food and how much she gets. Not only did I get the food from the past few years (and shared it with my friends) but they have also helped me cater to her appetite. As dogs get older they eat less and since I get the smallest food packs available I am able to split one in half and feed her.
I was impressed with the people I spoke with - not about how much you but but how they can help you.
