You and Your Pup’s Get Joy Routine

You and Your Pup’s Get Joy Routine

We get it! Sometimes it feels like our routines get boring even if they’re there for a reason. If you find your routine with your dog to be lackluster and sometimes dull, these three tips may help improve not only your four-legged friend's well-being but yours as well.

1. Your dog should be eating two meals a day.

The meals should be scheduled about eight hours apart to ensure your pup feels its best. Any meal that exceeds ten hours could make your dog’s stomach hyper acidic, causing unwanted nausea. Don’t let your busy schedule compromise your lunch time. Practice a healthy eating eating routine like your dog! They always need to eat, and so do you. Think of mealtime as a bonding experience for both of you; it will leave you feeling healthier and energized.

2. Add superfoods to enhance your health!

Organ meats can be considered superfoods for your dog. Your dog will be head over heels with our freeze dried organ treats and adding them to their diet can enhance their health in many ways. No matter what flavor of Get Joy Freeze-dried beef treats, each contain high levels of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that will drive your dog crazy! Organ treats are considered superfoods for dogs while certain berries are considered a superfood for us! Of course, you deserve a treat just as much as your dog does, so plan a superfood induced fruit bowl packing in goji berries, blueberries, mangos and so much more. Check out this acai breakfast bowl recipe. Making meals exciting will have you and your dog looking forward to eating even more than before.

3. Go outside!

Every pup needs a minimum of 30 minutes of playtime daily, and, conveniently, so do people. Making it fun for dogs by doing a sniffing walk or active walk/run. Get off that conference call and get your steps in for 15mins at lunchtime to ensure you’re both active for at least 30mins a day. You need the exercise and mental break just as much as your dog, and being active with your pup will tremendously improve your relationship.
