Giving Tuesday: 5 Charities Supporting Dogs in 2022
This Giving Tuesday, Get Joy is partnering with local shelters and rescue groups to help dogs in need. We're donating bags of our Freeze Dried meals to help keep these furry friends fed and healthy.
Of course, we believe that every dog deserves a loving home. For that reason, we're committed to doing our part to help make that happen. Thank you for supporting us as we work to make a difference in the lives of dogs everywhere.
How it works:
Starting on Giving Tuesday, we donate a 16oz bag of Fresh Freeze Dried meals to these 5 local shelters for every new order we get.
Lucky Dog Refuge:
Mission: We are not just a rescue, we are a refuge. We focus on the dogs most in need of saving. Those who have been abandoned by their families, strays, starving, sick, and in dire need of help. We take them in, rehabilitate them, provide housing, vetting, training, and extra doses of love.
No matter where they come from, they commit to every dog. They are all guaranteed a new lease on life with their forever family.
PAWS Norwalk:
PAWS rescues and re-homes approximately 200 dogs and 700 cats annually. Many of the dogs are strays from local animal control facilities and most of the cats that we help are strays and abandoned kitties who roam our streets. A portion of the pets relinqueshed to PAWS come from owners unable to care for them.
The Humane Society of CT:
The Connecticut Humane Society is the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state. As a result, it helps thousands of pets every year.
Above all, we envision a Connecticut where each companion animal finds a permanent, compassionate home. Where the special bonds between human and animal enrich their communities. And finally, where animal cruelty no longer exists.
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC:
Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, doesn’t just save the easy ones; they focus on saving the more difficult, the most urgent, critically injured and expensive dogs to save. Why? Because there are too many companion animals with medical and emotional needs that have been victims of cruelty, abuse and neglect that will never leave the shelter alive due to their needs all too often because of the funding & long-term commitment involved in rescuing them. Shelters just do not have funds to address these concerns.
