They're different formats, not better or worse. Freeze Dried Raw is raw, shelf-stable and has Belly Biotics™ built in. Fresh is gently cooked and frozen. Pick the one that fits your dog and your routine, and the quiz can recommend one.
Is freeze dried raw the same as raw?
Yes. It's raw food with the water removed by freeze drying at a low temperature, so it keeps in the pantry. Serve it dry or add warm water.
Is freeze dried raw dog food safe?
Ours is freeze dried at no more than 125°F in an SQF-certified facility, with a natural, probiotic-powered safety step, and every batch is third-party tested.
Do I need to add water to freeze dried raw?
No. You can serve it dry, straight from the bag, or add warm water for a softer, stew-like meal. Start with roughly equal parts food and warm water, let it soften for a few minutes, and refrigerate any rehydrated leftovers.
Is freeze dried dog food better than kibble?

How do I switch my dog to Freeze Dried Raw or Fresh?
Switch gradually over 7–10 days. Mix 25% Get Joy with 75% of their current food for days 1–3, go 50/50 for days 4–6, then 75% for days 7–9, and serve 100% Get Joy from day 10. Take it slower for a sensitive stomach.
